The First Day

Have you ever known the feeling that you're flying so high? I have, listen and you can hear about my trip to Hawaii. As soon as we boarded that first plane I felt a rush of excitment, I was finally going to Hawaii!  If you ever felt that feeling I felt right there, then you'll know how I felt then.  So I buckled up and the plane took off.  Five hours and thirty-five minutes later we landed in Maui.

You wouldn't believe what a surprise it was to see so much farmland from the plane, so much more than in Vancouver or any were else I had ever seen.  When we started to land I felt like I was being lifted off my seat and floating in midair.  It was such a wonderful feeling when we landed, I was almost sorry that we landed cause it was so beautiful up there.  When we got off the plane, we stepped into the tropical air which felt like a relief.  Better than the cold and rainy weather at home!

We waited for the next plane to take us to the big island.  The flight was supposed to take 30 minutes but it felt like 5. The house we are staying at is awesome.  The master bedroom is big with it's own huge bathroom, the bathroom is like a big hallway! The living room is in the same room as the kitchen.  A long comfortable couch sits on the right side and a cabinet with a tv on the left. Granite countertops are in the kitchen and LOTS of cabinets. Upstairs is two bedrooms - one with 2 beds and the other with one .  We went to bed at 8:00 Hawaii time but 10:00 Vancouver time. We were jet lagged and we all fell asleep fast.
